Esther, The King, and All Their Pets

This show gives kids ages 4 – 6 the experience of relating words and expressive movement. It helps the children to understand how to describe those words by moving their bodies in a particular way. Along with teaching them about expressive movement, it also exposes them to historical people from the Jewish writings. This show is written to relate the children to things that they understand to give them a means to express with their bodies and movement. Esther, the King, and all their Pets is appropriate for both boys and girls, and can accommodate a large number of students.

Terry, Kerry and Berry go on an adventure when they carry their kings on their humps to see the Christ child that has been born. On their way, they meet some misfit animals that join them on their journey, and learn their purpose in life. All of the animals present the child with a unique gift, and a miracle happens. This show is full of humor and fun, and is appropriate for both boys and girls in grades 4 – 8. It has a character list to suit 25 children plus singers and dancers.

Better put on your running shoes as the Grouch is chased by the three kings all over Manhattan and in the subway trains for stealing the gifts they are bringing to the Christ child. This show is a blast – full of energy and laughs. The religious characters’ names can be substituted for secular names to fit in any environment and setting. This show is for approximately 23 characters plus singers and dancers, and is written for both boys and girls in grades 4 – 8.

Once Upon a Purim

Once Upon a Purim is a fun and playful show that reveals how Esther won the heart of King Ahasuerus and revealed the evil plot of Hamen to overthrow the King and kill the Jews. During her courageous journey, we are introduced to Esther’s friends, Betty, Bitsy, Bernadette, Beatrice and Beula, hang out at the pizzeria and even have a festival of pizza puffs and ice cream. This show requires approximately 15 characters with possible non-speaking parts in the pizzeria and at the festival. Both male and female actors are needed. Appropriate for grades 3 – 6.
